Summary
One of the puppets made for and used by the ‘Lilliput Marionette Theatre’. This marionette has been identified as a 'faun' and is from a play entitled 'Hansel and Gretel'. A marionette puppet without a control. It has a moulded face and head with two horns and moulded hair, and painted eyes, lips and brown skin. It is jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, knees and ankles, with metal wire joints. It has no clothes but the thighs and bottom are covered with brown artificial hair. Its feet are in the form of hooves.
