Summary
One of the puppets made for and used by the ‘Lilliput Marionette Theatre’. This marionette has been identified as a 'musician imp' and is from a play entitled 'Faust'. It is without a control. He is made of wood with modelling material hands and completely painted black. On his hands are two wooden drum sticks with painted black knobs on. He has a protruding stomach with a gold sequin in his belly button. His forehead, ears, nose, chin and cheeks are all pointed with a gold painted mouth. His eye sockets are painted green with silver glitter and pearls for eyes. He is jointed at the neck, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee and ankle. Nylon fishing line is attached to him.
