Summary
A 1960s baby doll made of rubber or soft plastic manufactured by Chiltern Toys. The doll has moulded and painted facial features and hair and mobile eyes. The limbs are jointed at the shoulders and hips. The dolls wears a pale turquoise and white crocheted jacket and pants, the jacket collared and buttoned at the neck. Underneath the crocheted pants are a white pair of knitted pants. Chiltern was the trade name for H G Stone. The company made teddy bears, dolls and toys. Chiltern was taken over in 1967 by Chad Valley. They were famous for their Hugmee bears range made in the 1920s and continued to make bears under the joint name of Chiltern/Chad Valley.
