Summary
A late 1960s Peggy Nisbet plastic costume doll dressed as Mary Poppins from her 'Walt Disney Dolls' range. Series number H.280. The company produced two Mary Poppins dolls - this one is dressed in her nannys outdoor costume. Walt Disney dolls were produced from 1967 to 1970. She has jointed arms, moulded and painted facial features, and black hair with a bun. On her head a black felt hat with white flowers and red beads. She wears a long black cotton coat with two buttons over a blue cotton skirt and white blouse. Underneath she wears a white, lace edged, cotton petticoat and pantaloons, and black stockings and boots. On her head is a pink and white knitted scarf. In her right hand is a fabric bag with two metal ring handles, and in her left hand is a black plastic umbrella with a bird handle.
