Summary
A 1960s Peggy Nisbet plastic doll portraying Pope John II from her 'Historical Dolls' series. Series number H.272. The doll has moulded and painted facial features with a cream skull cap, and jointed arms. He wears a cream grosgrain long robe and cape buttoned down the front. Underneath he has an underskirt, long trousers and red painted shoes. He has a painted ring on his right hand and a black and gold painted plastic crucifix on a gold coloured chain round his neck.
