Summary
A 1960s plastic Peggy Nisbet costume doll dressed as H.M. Queen Elizabeth II (1926 - 2022) in the robes of the Order of the Thistle from her 'Historical Dolls' series. Her face has moulded and painted facial features, brown hair and on her head she wears a gold coloured 'jewelled' crown. She also had on a pair of 'jewelled' earrings. Her arms are moveable. She wears a long white and silver lurex brocade short sleeved gown. Over this is a long hooded green velvet cape, lined with white rayon, tied at the neck with a gold coloured cord. On each shoulder is a white ribbon bow. A white net petticoat and an under petticoat of lace edged white nylon. On her feet is a pair of shoes made from the same material as the dress. A black label states 'Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in Robes of the Order of the Thistle' and 'Collectors/ Costume/ Dolls/ by/ Peggy/ Nisbet/ MADE IN ENGLAND'. There is a metal stand with a spring.
