Summary
Queen Anne costume doll by Peggy Nesbet. She has moulded and painted facial features with long brown-black hair tied into two waist length plaits. On her head is a gold coloured plastic crown. Queen Anne wears a long black velvet cloak attached by a thread at the back. The cloak is trimmed and lined with white 'fur'. This is slightly dirty at the bottom. She wears a long gold coloured fabric dress covered on the left and right by a black dress decorated with flowers. Underneath is a white quilted artificial silk underskirt with a diamond pattern. Behind is an additional white artificial silk skirt with a white cotton skirt inside that. Queen Anne's legs are covered by white tights, her shoes are black plastic and she is standing upon a small metal base. Attached to her arm is a folded label that gives details of the doll’s maker, character and a short history.
