Summary
A 1960s plastic Peggy Nisbet doll from her 'Scottish Historical Figures' or 'Historical Dolls' series portraying Queen Anne (of Denmark) (1574–1619). Series number H.249. Her face has moulded and painted facial features, dark brown hair and a circular ring of turquoise coloured stones on her head. She wears a long, long-sleeved red brocade dress with gold coloured lurex threads and cream lace at the wrists and around the white collar. Her arms are moveable. There are two net-backed, cream, rayon petticoats and a white cotton petticoat. She has a turquoise coloured stone pendant on a gold coloured chain round her neck and gold coloured painted shoes. There is a metal stand and spring to hold the doll. A red label attached to the doll states reads 'A Peggy Nisbet model, Scottish Historical Costumes, H/249, Anne of Denmark Queen, Consort of James V1 of Scotland and 1 of England, 1574-1619, Made in Scotland' Total number of items is two
