Summary
The original box for a Teenage Mutant chocolate egg made of cardboard and covered with highly coloured paper. The front of the box is cut open in a jagged but intentional way to reveal a second cut out. Both cut outs have pictures of turtles waving their weapons round the edges. Across the front of the box, printed in white on a red background, is 'Teenage Mutant Hero' and beneath this 'Turtles' in green and 'Boom' in orange. The box opens with a flap lid, and all the other sides and top have illustrations of turtles. On the flap lid is a price sticker reading 'Gateway 129p'.
Provenance
Donated to the Museum of Childhood by Miss Jan Gough in April 1991.
