Summary
A telegram, with a map of the world printed in green ink printed on the front page. Text is printed in green, purple and black ink. There is a purple stamp with a crown and a signature in blue pencil. On the reverse, in green ink is a list of the telegram branch offices. The telegram is the sender acknowledging a parcel and giving Christmas greetings to the recipients. The envelope has a blue two and a half pence stamp. In the top left hand corner of the envelope is printed ‘Telegram’ in blue ink and inside a circular motif is a picture of both sides of the world, with a crown and the name of the company ‘Cable and Wireless Ltd’. The postmark is in black ink, stamped 'Birmingham/ 26 Dec / 1941.' The address is handwritten in blue ink. On the reverse is an advert for the telegram company in blue ink. Total number of items is 2.
