Summary
This card game, 'Newmarket', is in a two part box (1930s). The lid is navy blue with grey writing on the top which reads 'Newmarket, a Rollicking Game of Thrills and Excitement'. Inside the box are 52 cards, a set of rules and a small piece of paper indicating amendments to the rules. On the front of the cards are numbers and printing in red on top of a picture of a horse in blue and a fine line navy grid. On the back is red printing on a white ground depicting running horses and jockeys, a stripe down either side, and the letters 'UPL'. Total number of items is 56.
