Sudbury Hall Museum of Childhood, Derbyshire

Summary

A pair of metal curling tongs which are hinged in the centre. It has two handles, a cylindrical shaped rod at the other end and a semi-circular length of metal which fits over the rod. It is designed so that the hair is placed in between the two and then wrapped around the hot metal.

Donated to the Museum of Childhood by Miss B K Humphreys in 1990.
