Summary
A doll's cream flannel barracoat. It has armholes which are shaped at the lower edge and formed from narrow cotton tape at the top, and fastens at the back with three sets of ties made from tape. At the centre front is a large inverted box pleat, held in place at the neck edge and approx 8cm down. There is a small darned area near one of the lower ties.
Provenance
Donated to the Museum of Childhood by Miss B K Humphreys in 1990. Miss Humphreys' list states that this was worn by a doll in 1897.
