Summary
A vinyl 'Sasha' doll, model number 101, Sasha, Honey blond hair, Silk Dress, Made in England, 433-805' (circa 1982). In her original box. The doll was made by the company 'Trendon Limited', Stockport, UK. The doll was donated as new by Trendon Limited in 1982 and has therefore has been dated circa 1982. Sasha dolls were created by a Swiss artist called Sasha Morgenthaler. From 1965 Sasha dolls were produced by various different companies and then in 1970 'Trendon Limited', Stockport, UK began production. Trendon Limited produced these dolls until 1984 when 'Sasha Dolls Limited' became the selling company until 1986 when the factory closed. She has a hard vinyl light brown body, head, arms and legs, with moveable arms, legs and head. She has moulded facial features and brown painted eyes and eyebrows. She has long blonde nylon hair with a white mesh hair net over it. She is wearing a short, long-sleeved, white silk dress with a Peter Pan collar and square yoke. The dress has a centre back opening fastened at the neck and cuffs with metal press studs. Beneath the dress are white silk knickers and a white cotton vest. On her feet are slip-on white leather shoes with long white cotton socks with ribbed tops. Her original white cardboard oblong box opens at both ends and has a large Perspex oval on the top. Around three sides are black and white pictures of all the Sasha dolls. Total number of items is 2.
