Summary
A 'My Fair Sindy Doll' in its original pink and yellow box (circa 1982). The flesh coloured, plastic doll has moulded features and blue glass inset eyes with bristle eyelashes and painted eyebrows and lips. It has long brown nylon hair, curled at the end and held in place by an elastic band. It can rotate at the neck and waist and has jointed arms and legs. There is a white plastic rectangular stand which clips on to one leg. This doll is dressed in a blue-green, laced trimmed, long dress in a satiny type fabric with a woven leaf pattern. The dress has puffed sleeves and opens down the back. The wide brimmed hat in the same fabric is decorated with a white ribbon. The doll also wears white plastic shoes. All the clothes are removable. A label stuck to dress reads 'Made in Hong Kong'. The cardboard box has a clear cellophane front which is damaged. It opens at both ends. The 'Sindy' trade mark, 'a whole world to share' and the name of the doll is printed on the flaps and top of the front. The back is printed with an illustration of some other Sindy dolls and accessories available. There is a card lining to the box which is printed with a picture of a grand piano and the view from a balcony of a children's playing field. Total number of items is 3.
