Summary
A plastic baby doll made by Pedigree, called 'First Love', which 'feeds, cries tears and wets her nappy!' (circa 1982). She has moulded and painted facial features with open-and-shut blue eyes and brown nylon lashes, a small circular hole between her lips (for inserting a bottle or dummy), and rooted short, wavy, blonde nylon hair. She has a swivel head and is jointed at the shoulders and hips. Her slightly bent arms and legs have moulded finger and toenails. There are a few small blue stains on her right arm and leg. She is wearing a short white poly-cotton dress edged at the armholes and hem with pink and white lace, which has a pink ribbon bow at the front of the bodice and fastens at the back with two press-studs. Underneath she has a white cotton nappy. Her clothes are slightly stained. The doll is accompanied by her original box. The box is made of cardboard. The base is coloured blue inside and has elastic loops for attaching the doll. The lid is colour-printed (mainly blue) with a clear plastic 'window' in the top, and features images of the doll being played with, and her name. Also in the box are: a plastic feeding bottle which is opaque with a moulded butterfly on the side, and has a white cap; a white plastic dummy shaped like a butterfly; an instruction booklet, printed in blue and white; and a hairnet made from very fine yellow nylon mesh with an elastic hem. Total number of items is 7.
