Summary
A set of clothing (track suit top and trousers and shoes) for a Sasha doll. The box reads 'Clothes for Sasha Track/, Suit 806'. The clothes were made by the company 'Trendon Limited', Stockport, UK. The clothes were donated as new by Trendon Limited in 1982 and has therefore been dated 1982. Sasha dolls were created by a Swiss artist called Sasha Morgenthaler. From 1965 Sasha dolls were produced by various different companies and then in 1970 'Trendon Limited', Stockport, UK began production. Trendon Limited produced these dolls until 1984 when 'Sasha Dolls Limited' became the selling company until 1986 when the factory closed. The set includes a blue stretch fabric tracksuit top, tracksuit bottoms, white plastic covered material training shoes and white shorts. All are displayed in their original shallow rectangular box with clear plastic front. The packaging appears to still be unopened. The box is made from white cardboard with a shallow frame around the edge and has a clear plastic film in the centre under which the clothes are displayed. The blue tracksuit jacket has long sleeves with a white trim at the cuffs, a white collar and white metal zip. The bottoms are also blue and have a white strip down the outer leg. The bottoms have stirrups for the feet. Displayed below the tracksuit are white plastic covered fabric training shoes, with black elastic decoration. Attached to the tracksuit zip is of string with a round metal and cardboard 'medallion' which has the word 'Sasha' printed on it. On the reverse of the box is black text and ten black and white photographs. The top left-hand corner has a description relating to the history of Sasha dolls. Five of the photographs show Sasha babies dressed in different outfits and the other five photographs show different outfits displayed on their own. Total number of items is 7.
