Summary
A pair of shoulder-headed bisque dolls and woven wicker, oval shaped cradle with various items of bedding and a pair of doll’s drawers inside. The outside of the cradle is natural brown and the inside and base is blue. The bedding consists of a hand-made, white cotton mattress and pillow with a soft stuffing; two hand-made sheets made of the same cotton, one with a lace frill along one edge; two white woollen blankets with pink blanket stitch round the edges, (these are worn and torn); one cover made of blue silk covered with a net and edged with a lace frill. A pair of shoulder-headed bisque dolls. The hair and facial features are moulded and painted. The stuffed body and the upper parts of the limbs are of a coarse cotton material. The lower parts of the arms and legs are of un-tinted bisque. Each doll has black painted boots and is dressed in a simple hand crocheted white woollen dress and bonnet. One of the outfits is edged with purple. A pair of doll's size cotton drawers with separate legs held together by a draw string at the waist. The edges of the legs are lace edged. Total number of items is 11.
