Summary
A pair of identical celluloid dolls, wearing bright pink feather dresses and headdresses. They are in the style of the 'kewpie' doll, which means they have large foreheads, their eyes look to the left, their legs are not jointed, and their fingers are splayed out at their sides. Each doll has its head, body and legs moulded in one piece, with painted facial features, and arms jointed at the shoulder by a piece of thread running between them. Each doll has gold-coloured paint on the front half of its head to form the base of a headdress, which comprises four bright pink feathers stuck in the top of the head. Total number of items is 2.
Provenance
Donated to the Museum of Childhood by Mrs L. J. Gilman in May 1976.
