Summary
An oriental ' Japanese or Chinese' doll with wooden head (which revolves through 360 degrees), headdress, hands, lower legs and feet. The arms are jointed at the shoulders and elbows. The upper legs are made of metal and are jointed at the hips. The lower legs are wooden and are jointed on a metal pin. The headress is painted black and artificial paper flowers are attached to it. The face is painted white with facial features picked out in red and black. The hands are painted pink and the fingers are elongated. The shoes are painted red, white, green and black with upturned pointed toes. Wearing a long green outfit, with long sleeves and slits up the sides, elaborately decorated in a foliate design in red and gold thread and sequins. The outfit is edged with cream brocade and lined with a blue fabric. Cream cotton drawers with a purple flower pattern edged in cream and purple brocade. The headdress is chipped and pieces have broken off.
