Summary
A bisque-headed doll with painted features and blue glass eyes that are moveable. She was bought in Paris by the donor's sister and called ‘Rose’. There is long brown wavy hair plaited down the back. She has a composition body and limbs which are jointed at the shoulders, elbow, wrist, hips, knees and possibly ankles. The fingers on the right hand are damaged. She is wearing a sleeveless dress of cotton with broderie anglaise in the skirt and lace at the neck. She has a machine made fabric vest with sleeves. She is wearing broderie anglaise drawers with blue ribbon round the legs. She is wearing cream knitted socks. She should be dressed in a lavender silk frock, brown cloak and matching hat.
