Summary
A white bisque-headed doll with moulded and painted facial features, blue painted eyes and red painted mouth. The hair is moulded into curls and is partially painted brown. The lower arms and hands, lower legs and feet are also made of white bisque. The rest of the doll is padded cloth. The doll is wearing a beige cotton tunic with elasticated neck and sleeve cuffs. The bottom finishes above the knee with two short hemmed legs. The doll's upper legs are made of red padded cotton, the bottom of which is trimmed with lace. The red cotton is also present just below the cuffs. On the back shoulders of the doll is embossed the place of origin; ‘Japan’. On the bottom of the doll's feet, the white surface bas become worn so that brown can be seen.
