Summary
A child's brown woollen jacket (circa 1941) with long sleeves, which has possibly never been worn. The jacket is made from a heavy wool or wool mixture and has a brown cotton lining. It is double breasted with four round plastic buttons in a mottled brown colour. The jacket can be fastened up on either side. The jacket has two pockets with flaps. The jacket has pointed lapels with a button hole on the left lapel. On the right sleeve cuff there is a piece of the sleeve missing, where it has possibly been eaten away. The back of the jacket has a wide belt and a box pleat which is still tacked together by a piece of white thread. There is a white material utility label sewn into the lining, dating from 1941.
