Summary
A brown cardboard box with hinged flaps and lid, officially issued as a container for the civilian gas mask in World War II. The word ‘TOP’ is impressed in the top, and inside the top flap are instructions for packing and using the respirator (this was the official name for the gas mask). Inside there is a cardboard shelf with a round hole in the middle to fit the container, which was the part of the mask holding the filters. The box is empty.
