A note with this garment and others gifted by the same donor reads - "All are at least 80 years old, possibly 100, and were worn by at least 3 generations of the same family. They were originally worn by the children of the Mitton family (who were in business as plasterers in Burton on Trent - Anglesey Road and Beech Street)./ They were first worn by the children of the Mitton Family, one of whose daughters was mother to Mrs.Jones' husband. They have since been worn by relatives children on the Isle of Man."
