Summary
A carved wooden pushalong horse with a separate wooden cart, which can be attached by the shafts through metal rings on the horse's tack. It was possibly made on Eastern Europe. The horse has carved features and the mane and feet are painted black. It has black leather straps and a red woollen fabric saddle. Its tail is made of brown fluffed up wool. There is a metal ring at either side of the horse for the shafts to go through and another set of metal loops at the front of the saddle through which the reins (made of strong thread) pass. The cart is delicately carved and decorated with poker-work patterns. It has a large concave wheel on either side, long (curving inwards) shafts, a carved and decorated footboard, a double seat (also carved and decorated) in the middle and a single semi-circular seat at the back. Both seat bases are covered in black velvet, and both seats are attached to the body of the cart with pieces of metal wire. Total number of items is 2.
