Summary
This plywood engine shed has a red brick effect finish on the walls, three tall windows cut out on each long side and backed with plastic film and two varnished doors, hinged and with nails for handles on the end wall. The roof is wooden with a painted grey tile effect. One grey painted chimney remains, while three bare patches indicate three chimneys are missing. The ridge of the roof is covered by a secondary narrower roof with a painted grey tile effect. Between the windows on one side are tacked advertising posters for 'Nestlé’s Milk' and 'Whitbread's Ale and Stout', printed in colour. At each end of the wall is a horizontal advertisement one for 'Bovril' printed in white, blue and yellow, one for 'Oxo' printed in white on blue with red edging and a red bull at each end. Three posters are missing from the other long wall. One remains which reads 'Ask for Whitbread's Ale and Stout'.
