Summary
White painted metal wash stand made for a doll’s house (contents from Betty Cadbury collection doll's house with lift - inventory number 660462), with a back and lower shelf and an upper shelf with two holes in it for basins. There are four wire legs with a curl at the foot. The back has two taps, two clips and a rail jutting out and attached at the top. Attached to the back of the back is a metal slot and in this is a piece of cardboard with arms to left and right supporting cream coloured curtains of cream material. It is suggested that tap handles are missing and that the slot on the back could have been filled with water so that the taps could have been used to fill the bowls. Also a wooden, upright, corner chair with a padded seat made for a doll’s house. This seat is covered with dull pale dusky pink brocade edged with brown twisted braid on two sides. The wooden back and arms have a simple cut out fretwork design and there are similar fretwork cut out stretchers on the back leg. Total number of items is 3.
