Contents from Betty Cadbury's doll's house number: 665529. 1) A wooden sofa made for a doll’s house, with green velvet upholstery and a cream fabric panel with lace like inserts. The sofa is supported by a wooden plinth on four turned feet. It has two distinct back panels and two bolster shaped armrests. The front edge is finished with green, cream and brown striped cord. 2) Wooden upright chair (c1830) made for a doll’s house, painted red, with a blue and white upholstered fabric seat trimmed with a beige fringe. The chair back has an 'X' shaped slat between two horizontal rails. 3) Marble topped table, made for a doll’s house, supported on a wooden frame, which in turn is supported by a turned pedestal which rests on rectangular base with four feet. 4) Wooden Grodnertal Dutch or peg wooden doll with painted facial features and black painted hair. She has jointed arms and legs and is wearing a brown fabric full skirt (lined), purple velvet jacket edged with lace at the neck and cuffs. She has a green ribbon at her neck and a cream fabric petticoat. 5) Wooden bookcase with hinged and glazed doors made for a doll’s house. Glued to the inside on the top shelf are five marbled paper covered books. Three of which are labelled 'John', one 'Nero' and one 'la Vendee'. Glued to the bottom shelf are five books. Three of the books are blue and labelled 'POPE', and two are beige and labelled 'SCOTT'. 6) A wooden framed velvet armchair with a cushion made for a doll's house. The chair stands on four wooden ball feet. It is covered in faded maroon velvet with a braid trim around the top of the wooden base. A large stuffed cushion covered in a red and white cotton fabric sits on the chair. 7) A blue, metal, cutlery tray made for a doll's house, divided into two sections and with pierced sides. It contains five metal tablespoons, five spoons, seven forks, five small knives and five large knives. 8) A doll's house size black painted metal pair of coal tongs and a matching doll's house size black painted metal coal shovel with a long handle. 9) A used, white birthday candle made for a doll’s house. 10) A rectangular shaped piece of wood.
