Summary
This child's spinning top is in wood (late 19th century). The top has a circular centre piece, joined to the underside which is convex, deeply grooved and coming to a central point. The top is almost flat with a groove and raised band in a cylindrical form. In the centre of the top is a long cylindrical stem, for holding when turning the top to make it spin. There is a hole through this stem. Another hole is cut in the side of the circular base. Possibly late 19th, early 20th century.
