Summary
A child's rectangular wooden paint box. The lid has many scratches and marks. There is a metal plate on the front base with a keyhole in its centre. On the box lid is a coloured picture of children gardening with one boy up a ladder and passing grapes to a girl standing below. The box contains two long narrow silver coloured palettes, on a black painted wooded base. There are twelve individual used paint blocks on each. The space in front of these is divided into three and covered with check paper. On each of the smaller side compartments is a small white pottery container. The box fastens with two gold coloured hinges.
