Summary
An 'Experiment box'. A cardboard box covered in red paper and divided into 9 compartments, each containing an item of scientific apparatus in one or more pieces. There is a separate lid on which is glued a black and white label in German, English, French and Spanish reading 'Experiment Box/ The Laws of/ Liquids and Gases' with a drawing of an apparatus and a trade mark bearing the letters G B/N in a diamond shape above the word BAVARIA. The items of apparatus each stand on a black wooden base. They are made of lacquered brass, with red painted metal, bright metal, and glass parts. A small glass cylinder containing a metal piston has a small piece broken off it. There are nozzles on some pieces which appear to be intended for connection to one another by means of flexible pipes, but there are no pipes or instruction leaflets or books.on paper label: A label on the box reads 'A.W. GAMAGE LTD/ 27//6/HOLBORN LONDON E.C.'. Total number of items is nineteen
