Summary
A doll with a stockinet head and hands. Moulded and painted facial features. Stuffed cloth body, arms, legs and feet. Wearing a brown wool-like fabric jacket tied at the back with a red satin bow. Red cotton top; black and white striped cotton breeches. Woven wicker cane slippers. Black fabric peaked cap. On either side of the cap are two tufts of artificial brown hair. Tucked inside the brown jacket is a piece of paper on which has been written in Betty Cadbury's handwriting 'Bretonne Old// Nous. Pair.// Man/ Woman// Mrs Banks work.// April 1967// 7 pounds sterling and 10 shillings the pair.'
