Summary
A Dutch or peg wooden doll. Her body is made entirely of wood. She has painted facial features, and a carved nose. She has black painted hair, with a centre parting. Her arms are jointed at the shoulders and swing upwards instead of back to front. Her legs are jointed at the hips and swing back to front. Her legs have traces of white paint on them and red is painted at the bottom to mimic shoes. There are no carved hand or feet details. She wears a cream silk bonnet which ties around her neck with a black velvet ribbon. She wears a long cream coloured petticoat which has a broderie anglaise trim. She wears a long dress, with a lace bodice, which has short sleeves. The skirt is made from fine cream coloured cotton and is trimmed with self coloured lace. She has a black velvet ribbon tied in a bow around her waist.
