Summary
An English wax over papier mâché doll in a glass 'bocage' case. The doll's face has moulded and painted features. She has blond hair with a centre parting. It is not possible to examine the limbs or the body. She is wearing a blue silk dress which is decorated with silver buttons and has a lace frill along the neck edge and round the wrist edge of the elbow length sleeves. Her hands are leather and she has green velvet slippers She stands in a grotto which is decorated with a garlands of artificial flowers. On either side are two short decorated posts with the figure of a girl on the right one and a boy on the left one. The box itself is made of wood, is partialy covered with faded patterned paper and is rather scruffy. The glass is loose.
