Summary
This is a metal framed, rocking, doll's sized cradle (circa 1900). There is a stout metal frame which supports the rocking cradle and is extended at one end to form a support for a canopy which will shelter the doll's head. The sides of the cradle are covered with a pleated layer of stiff gauze which is hidden from view by layer of cream gathered silk. Covering the edge of the cradle is a band of gathered stiff net. The canopy is made of cream silk fabric which is attatched to the support and has a band of gathered pink net round the edge. The cradle has a white fabric mattress which is gathered to simulate a pillow and is stuffed with an unidentified material. There is a square matching cream silk coverlet trimmed with pink net round the edge and having a net rosebud in the middle. Total number of items is three
