Summary
A standing wooden (?) pedlar doll on a wooden stand enclosed within a glass dome supported on a round wood and velvet base (circa 1870). She has a bright pink painted wooden (?) composition (?) face with brown mohair (?) hair with a woven straw bonnet edged with a dirty white fabric band and yellow lace. She has a red cotton blouse with cuffs of yellow lace and a yellow lace apron. Her skirt is cotton striped brown, red and green. She holds a wooden tray with a yellow lace shoulder strap. On the tray are rolls of lace. The tray is edged with lace. The wooden stand has four decorated upright bobbins on either side, six of which have glass beads threaded through the tops. The front right hand one is wire wrapped wood. The others are of bone or ivory. Behand her is a raised wooden back holding four more decorative bobbins. There is a metal key on the paper covered back of the stand which operates the clockwork mechanism. There is a loose piece of lace on the plinth. The circular base has three black round feet. The hands are painted bright pink and made of an unknown substance, possibly wood. Total number of items is three
