Summary
A Bartenstein two-faced wax on composition headed doll, with blue glass eyes and light mohair hair. A drawstring moves the head to smiling or crying faces. Cloth and card body with composition limbs. Wearing original clothing, fine cream wool bonnet with embroidered detail. Fine cream wool cloak with shoulder cape, with some moth holes embroidered detail and ribbon tie. Short sleeved long white cotton dress. Lace trim at neck and sleeves. Lace inset panel on front of skirt and pintucks. Long white cotton petticoat with pintucks. Cream flannel cross over under wrap with ribbon tie. German. 1880 (circa).
