Summary
A male boxer doll (circa 1921), made by Saba, with composition head with moulded and painted facial features. The body, arms and legs are made of bright metal with ball joints at shoulder, elbows, wrists, legs, knees and ankles. The hands are painted composition and the feet are in composition boots painted black. It is with its original cardboard box, separate lid and a colour printed poster of a cartoon drawing of two metal boxing dolls, one white and one black. Printed on the lid and base of the box is 'Saba/ Made in Switzerland/ Pat./ Schweiz Nr. 93'600/ D.R.P. Nr. 353'855/ U.S.A. demandet/ Brevets/ England Nr. 177'739 - France Nr. 536'593/ 27.th June 1921'. Printed on the poster is 'Les Boxeurs d'Acier/ Poupees articulees en metal/ 'Au Printemps, Paris'/ DEPOSE/ No 1330 W.M. and Co/ IMPORTS DE SUISSE'. Total number of items is four
