Summary

A Duplicator made from a varnished wooden box which opens on hinges into two equal halves. On the exterior of one half is a transfer image of bantam above and below which is printed 'Ellams, Ban Tam, Duplicator, No 1 Model'. Inside one half is an ink duplicator with a separate ink roller. There is also a hinged wooden frame and wooden backing plate which fasten together with a metal clasp. Inside the other half is a length of cream machine knitted fabric; a set of yellow rectangular cards; a pale orange rectangular card; a sheet of white paper; a sheet of blue paper with 'Order' typed at the top; a cash sale invoice; a letter in an envelope addressed to 'R.S. Bird'; a sheet of translucent plastic on which is printed 'Ellams No. 1 'Bantam' Base Plate'; and a sheet of wood covered on one side with a sheet of metal held in place with two metal brackets. Printed in red and gold coloured ink on the sheet of metal is 'Made In England By Ellams, Duplicator Company Ltd. 12 King St. Cheapside, London E.C'. There is also a green cardboard box containing a duplicator pen wrapped up in some greaseproof paper. Printed on this box is 'Ellams Duplicator Pen Ellams, Ellams Duplicator Company Ltd, Alexandra House, 23 Bushey Hall Road, Bushey, Herts. Made in England'. Total number of items is 60.
