Summary
A Duplicator made from a varnished wooden box which opens on its hinges into two equal halves. On the exterior of one half is a transfer image of a lion above and below which is printed 'LION MENUCATOR/ BRITISH/ No 2 MODEL'. Inside one half is an ink duplicator with removable ink roller. There is also a hinged wooden framed silk screen and wooden backing plate which fasten together with a metal clasp. In between the silkscreen and the backing plate is a sheet of yellow blotting paper. Inside the other half of the box are some items which are just visible through a gap. The clasp holding down the backing plate to this half of the box is too tight, preventing one from lifting it to see the just visible contents. Total number of items is 3.
Provenance
Donated to the Museum of Childhood by Mr and Mrs Charles in August 1983.
