Summary
A child's Merry-Go-Round wooden toy made by Escor Toys Ltd with the base of the original cardboard box (circa 1982). It consists of a painted yellow round wooden disc with a knob in the centre and four pairs of wooden pegs on which fit four wooden cars, with holes in the centre, in which sit removable four wooden figures. Each car has four wooden wheels attached to the body with metal studs, two with green wheels and two with red wheels.Each figure is a cylinder of wood each painted a different colour, pink, yellow, red and green with round heads with painted facial features. The toy is in the base of the original cardboard box which has a coloured picture of the toy on a pasted label. A SQUARE RED PAINTED BASE WHICH SUPPORTS A DETACHABLE WHITE PAINTED SPINDLE IS COMMON TO THIS TOY AND ALSO DERSS 20821 (whirling chairs) ESCOR MERRY-GO-ROUND/Spins on a wooden pivot MADE IN ENGLAND is printed on the base of the box.
