Summary
A wooden abacus made by Escor contained within a white cardboard triangular shaped box (circa 1982). Printed on the 'SPINE' side of the box in blue ink is 'No.12/ ABACUS/ 15 BALLS/ ESCOR TOYS/ LIMITED/ CHRISTCHURCH/ ENGLAND. The abacus comprises a rectangular wooden base with five wooden dowels, of varying heights, set into the base vertically. Slotted onto one dowel is a white painted wooden ball, there are 2 green, 3 blue, 4 yellow and 5 red balls - each group slotted onto their respective dowel. Total number of items is seventeen
