Summary
A child's posting cage toy manufactured by Escor with its original white cardboard box (circa 1982). It comprises of five different coloured wooden shapes (natural wood, red, blue, yellow and green). The posting cage itself comprises of two red painted wooden discs held together by vertical wooden dowels (forming a cage). There is a kidney shaped hole on one side of the upper disc, and in the centre of the disc a hole into which fits a dowel peg attached to another red disc. This second disc has different shaped holes cut out of it and a yellow wooden ball knob in the centre. When the knob is turned a different shaped hole lines up with the kidney shaped hole in the disc below enabling the corresponding shaped brick to drop into the posting cage. There are two stickers on the uppermost disc - one reads ESCOR, the other, a Union Jack, MADE IN/ ENGLAND. Paper label on the box reads Escor POSTING CAGE/ MADE IN ENGLAND Total number of items is eight
