Summary
A baby's Fisher-Price shape sorter toy, made of plastic, in its original box (circa 1982). It consists of a white, basically rectangular main piece which resembles steps, the top one of which has indentations containing four coloured 3-D shapes. Across the front is a label which reads 'Fisher-Price/ shape sorter' and has pictures of children playing. Below and to the front of this is a row of appropriately-shaped holes. Below and to the front of this is a row of opening doors (for retrieving the shapes when posted through the holes above) which have the corresponding shapes drawn on (a red circle, a yellow rectangle, a green triangle and a blue square). In the centre of the top 'step' is a pink ball with a face drawn on to resemble a head, which squeaks when pressed down. Around the sides of this is a hinged red handle. The box is made from a single piece of cardboard (folded), printed in colour on a white and red background. It shows photographs of the shape sorter and children playing with it. Also in the box is a colour-printed catalogue showing other children's toys available from Fisher-Price. Total number of items is seven
