Summary
A baby's push-along, wooden Brio caterpillar, with original box (circa 1982). The caterpillar is constructed from 8 circular wooden segments, which are coloured green, yellow, red and blue. These all have a hole in the centre and are threaded onto a central red wooden pole, on the end of which is a green dome-shaped segment. This segment has black and white painted eyes and mouth and red wooden antennae. 7 of the circular pieces have 2 feet on each, made from black wooden beads, which rotate on metal pins. The end segment is a domed shape, but has a painted top. This piece screws onto the pole, securing the 7 segments in place. One of the segments has a stuck-on rectangular label with a black background and red, yellow and white text reading 'BRIO/ MADE IN SWEDEN'. A rectangular cardboard box which opens at both ends, with a colour photograph of the caterpillar on 2 sides and the 'BRIO' logo at the top left-hand corner. Below the logo are the words 'Wooden toys' in four different languages. On the two ends is the text 'BRIO/ Freddy' and on the 2 other sides is product information in 4 different languages.
