Summary
A child's sewing machine, metal painted green on a wooden base. The circular mechanical rim is shiny metal with cogs on the inside and painted green on the outside and stamped 'Grain' with a small purple painted handle on the lower outside edge, two small green arrows on either side. It has a square shiny metal plate at the other end with the needle and other working parts coming up from it, also in metal. Under the needle is a circle of green felt. There is a wooden bobbin of dark blue thread on the spool holder. The machine is attached to the wooden base with two screws. The metal part is stamped 'Made in England' and 'Grain'. 'Grain' is also stamped on the handle and base. It rests on four rubber feet.
Marks and inscriptions
On vertical metal bar: in oval shape: MADE IN ENGLAND, GRAIN. On lower left hand side of wooden base: in oval shape: GRAIN. On circular green coloured handle: in oval shape: GRAIN.
