Summary
A box for an 'Inspector Hornleigh' Jigsaw puzzle. The front of the box has a newspaper boy in orange carrying a yellow placard which reads 'Inspector Hornleigh Investigates', also in orange on the front are the words JIG-SAW PUZZLE. The background is grey and white depicting a night scene near the Astoria, a man under a lamp post, a roulette game and a car with headlights on. The sides of the box read 'A Waddingtons JIG-SAW 1/-'. The back of the box has a yellow panel telling about a fictional crime associated with the puzzle. Inside the box was 1) a white card which read 'Inspector Hornleigh/ Investigates/ Problem No.2/ Forced landing' followed by a description of the crime, 2) a clear envelope, 3) a blue sheet of paper which can be moistened and the solution to the crime explained.
