Summary
On display 6 late 19th century/early 20th century globes. In storage Wooden cabinet for the 14 remaining late Victorian/Edwardian globes. A wooden box with a hinged door and a wooden handle held in a metal bracket on each side of the box. On the back of the box is a circular recess. Inside are four removable shelves each with five circular holes cut out of them. These were for storing the set of 20 globes which are now stored separately. Each globe is printed in colour on paper and varnished, and revolves on a metal rod. One end of the rod has a nut and screw at the top. The other end of the rod is inserted into the black painted turned base. Total number of items is twenty five.
