Summary
A marionette puppet of Muffin the Mule. The toy is articulated and painted white with black shoulders, mane, knees and hooves. A red and gold painted saddle and bridle. A string tail. Four pieces of string, with a metal ring at one end, are attached to rings in the head, fore and aft of the saddle and to the tail. These enable the puppet to move at the neck, knees and shoulders.
Provenance
Donated to the Museum of Childhood by Miss Sarah Hosking in 1983.
